GEORGE IS BACK, IN GREAT HEALTH, AND IS GETTING THE JOB DONE!
Redback boots are built tough, but after enough miles, even the best work boots need a proper rebuild. At MyShoeman / High Street Shoe Repair, we’ve specialized in repairing and resoling Redback boots for decades. George—our master cobbler with 40+ years of hands-on experience—has restored thousands of work boots and knows exactly how to bring Redbacks back to peak condition.
When you send in your Redback boots, we replace the worn-out original soles with high-performance Vibram® outsoles matched to the way Redbacks are used: dependable traction, long-lasting rubber, and excellent shock absorption. The upgrade provides better durability and grip than most factory soles, giving your boots a whole new life.
We rebuild a steady stream of Redback boots for both local and mail-in customers, and the consistent repeat business speaks to the quality of our craftsmanship. If your Redbacks are slipping, separating, or just beaten down from years of hard work, we’ll restore them with care and precision.
Most Popular Choice!
The Vibram 1705 is crafted from Gumlite, a lightweight, cushioned compound that closely matches the feel and density of original Blundstone soles. This sole features a deeper, more aggressive lug pattern than the Vibram 1716, providing excellent traction, improved stability, and outstanding grip on a variety of surfaces. A perfect upgrade for comfort and durability.
Low-Profile, Dress-Friendly Option. Also made from Gumlite, this sole provides a smoother, slimmer profile—perfect for a more refined or dress-oriented look. Many customers also prefer this style for riding with stirrups, thanks to its balanced shape and reduced lug depth.
Smooth Profile With a Bit More Support. This option offers a similar smooth profile but is slightly thicker than the 1716, providing added cushioning and durability. It also features a slightly higher heel, giving a touch more lift and support without changing the overall clean look.
A: The new soles are not the hard type of Vibram soles that many people are familiar with. They are lightweight, a little soft and cushioned, but very durable. You’ll probably get the same or more wear out of them that you got out of your first soles.
